Meet the panelists

Jo Staffelbach Heinz, President, STAFFELBACH

Jo Staffelbach Heinz - STAFFELBACHJo is the president and CEO of STAFFELBACH, a specialized group of interior designers, architects, and facilities planners headquartered in Dallas. Her knowledge of client service excellence is well-established and has made her a highly sought-after speaker on the subject. She is also a frequent panelist on workplace strategies and the business of design. Additionally, she is a fellow member of IIDA, the president of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Architecture Forum, a distinguished alumnae fellow of the Kansas State University Alumnae Association, and has served as the president of the NCIDQ. She has also received several honors as a leader in her field including the Dallas Business Journal‘s Women in Business Industry Leader Award, Kansas State University‘s Entrepreneur and Distinguished Service Awards, and the Altrusa International Outstanding Women of Today… Builders of Tomorrow Award.

Gus Hinojosa, Director of Commercial Interiors, HKS

With over 31 years of experience, Gus brings extensive knowledge having worked with Forbes 500 clients on a variety of domestic and international projects including global standards, corporate headquarters, pilot programs, retail locations, workplace analysis, design, and implementation. Complementing his award winning design skills, his significant management and technical expertise provides a strong foundation for a successful project. As director of commercial interiors at HKS, Gus is responsible for design, management, and technical direction. Gus has directed design for various high profile Dallas clients, including The Rosewood Corporation, Mary Kay, Fidelity Investments, Haynes & Boone, and Morgan Stanley/Saxon Mortgage.

Brigitte Preston, Owner and Principal of Design, lauckgroup

Brigitte is an owner and principal at lauckgroup, an architecture and interiors firm with offices in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. With more than two decades of experience, she merges principles of sustainability and user engagement with a handcrafted, refined design touch. Joining the firm in 1992, Brigitte offers a unique international perspective linking back to her Belgian roots and experiences working in the design world throughout Europe. She has created leading-edge work environments for clients including Simplot, Energy Future Holdings, USAA, Ericsson, and Whole Foods Market. She is focused on conceptual thinking within workplace environments, resulting in XLG, a product design studio she established within lauckgroup. Her approach to interior architecture has resulted in many awards and accolades, and she is also involved in promoting community involvement and pro bono efforts on behalf of lauckgroup.
