Feast your eyes on the confections from Cosmo Couture 2016, the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter‘s annual fundraiser that pairs local design firms with manufacturer partners to create runway-worthy looks.

Cosmo Couture — the annual fundraising event hosted by the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter — is easily one of the Washington metro area’s most raucous and well-attended industry events. This year’s event was held in D.C.’s historic Howard Theatre with a “Big Top” circus theme, and we were there to witness the creativity and fun. The 2016 “Best Runway Performance” award went to Collective Architecture for their snake charmer:

EYP Architecture & Engineering took home the “Most Creative Garment” award for their interpretation of the horse dancer:

HOK‘s intricate harlequin won for “Most Unique Use of Material” and for “Audience Favorite”:

KGD Architecture won “Best Interpretation of Theme” for their really fun, not scary, sort of steampunk clown:

And finally, KCCT took home the coveted “Haute Couture” award for their magician:
