Bright ideas and solutions being shared at the 2019 LED Specifiers Summit at Chicago’s Navy Pier.

This one-day trade show and conference attracted more than 800 architects, lighting designers, electrical engineers, interior designers and distributors. While it was WDM’s first time at the Summit, we were inspired by what was presented in the education seminars and the new product and services on display at over 190 exhibitor booths. We rounded up a few of our favorites to share with you below.

Really New! Meet LIGHTAZ.com

Throughout the summit brands displayed a familiar reference to their presence on LIGHTAZ.com – the newly launched FREE go-to engine for lighting solutions. With 20+ search parameters specifiers can find preferred lighting fixtures in seconds. Their built-in SKU configurator will save specifiers time and thanks to ‘logic’, it will also mark unavailable product configurations. Not sure what you need? The inspiration section on this easy to navigate platform does not disappoint.

Sky is the limit with Graypants: Cloud Installations

These custom LED-lit forms are made from thousands of lightweight spheres. Many color formations available. It’s a favorite in lobbies, atriums and versatile areas – particularly in start-ups such as airbnb. Pictured above is The Cloud which can be found in the Avalon Belltown offices in Seattle, Washington.

‘Y’ You Should Check This One Out

Focal Point LLC

Focal Point’s Seem 1 Acoustic Trio lighting was on point as shown in this rendering behind popular Work Design Contributor Stephanie Goudreau. These US made luminaires maximize sound absorption and creates visual interest while delivering optimal illumination of a space. Plus it is designed to absorb sound from all directions.
