Rise seating – for flexibility in the workplace.

As furnishing the workplace is evolving to meet the many ways returning employees want to work, furniture manufacturers are re-thinking how to best provide options to meet the different set ups for office work. When your tagline is ‘great things happen in a chair‘, the seating experience does, indeed need to be great! Via Seating’s new Rise chair meets the moment with its multi-height flexible adjustments. Working at standard desk height? Rise works. Using an elevated work surface? Rise works.

Via took note that height adjustable desks and tables were becoming more prevalent and identified the need for a more versatile gas lift that would let a chair be used for both a typical desk height as well as a standing desk height.

Designed by Swedish product designer, Daniel Laval in collaboration with Via’s in-house Studio V team, Rise achieves a high level of ergonomic adjustment, comfort, and flexibility, at a competitive price point without sacrificing Via’s standards for quality and durability.

Design features include:

  • Molded foam seat
  • Fixed height or adjustable arm options
  • Elastomeric mesh in (4) colors
  • Tilt and synchro control mechanism
  • Seat depth adjustment
  • Two frame color options and four accent bar colors

The most outstanding design features include a telescoping gas lift, giving the user total choice and control of how to sit at multiple types of desks. For example, with a height adjustable desk, Rise is capable of working when the desk is in a low position or at standing height (or even in between). If specified with glides instead of casters, the chair can also be used safely as a perch rather than fully sitting, when the chair is in a higher position.

A healthier, ergonomic workplace makes it easier for people to move around and shift positions throughout the day. The design features of Rise facilitate that goal.

For sit to stand applications there is a customer foot ring that does not interfere with the seating posture in the lowest (desk height) position.

Additional comfort was also a consideration, thus two options for Via’s proprietary foam seat – convex or contoured – to ensure maximum back support and comfort.

The above chairs were created with Via’s Spec It feature.

Even better – there is a twelve-year warranty, (including the foam) and the mesh is covered with a five-year warranty. For more detail on options and finishes, click here.
