Made for humans, by humans, each roll of Ultrafabrics material is created with purpose.

The Ultrafabrics’ tagline, Touch the Future, is not just a tagline, but also a promise to their clients and consumers. Their mission is to create sustainable materials beyond the expectations of today without sacrificing comfort and superior performance. For almost 25 years, Ultrafabrics has exceeded this goal and set the standard for high-tech performance fabrics. Their versatile materials combine premium aesthetics, sensorial tactility, and functionality to deliver the highest quality of its kind.

Solutions Solved by Ultrafabrics

Ultrafabrics’ portfolio of materials provides functional solutions that support the final application and overall performance. Every aspect of their materials can also be tailored to the specifications of your next project.

Using their Fabric Finder tool, you can find the best fit for your space. The tool allows you to filter by color and solution so you can find fabrics that are:

Acoustic

These materials are suitable for ceiling and wall panels, space dividers, and furniture and are designed with acoustically transparent properties to absorb unwanted noise and create a well-balanced space.

Anti-static

Engineered to dissipate and shield against electrostatic discharge (ESD), Ultrafabrics Anti-Static Solution provides maximum comfort while maintaining a static free environment.

Antimicrobial

Constructed to inhibit the growth of bacteria and other surface pathogens, Ultrafabrics Antimicrobial materials are engineered with an EPA-registered antimicrobial agent.

Breathable Comfort

These materials are engineered with a proprietary ventilation system that enhances softness and promotes air circulation for the highest level of comfort for end users. Say goodbye to a hot and sticky seating experience!

Ink & Stain Resistant

Ultrafabrics’ proven Ink & Stain Resistant solution unites repellency and cleanability. Designers can thus incorporate lighter tones without having to worry about tough stains like denim dye transfer or ink stains.

Made for Outdoor Living

Outdoor Living materials resist water and withstand fading to provide lasting beauty and are made with an EPA-registered defense against mildew, bacteria and other microbes.

Responsible Innovation

Suitable for healthy interiors and engineered for the future, these materials incorporate sustainably conscious ingredients or processes that inspire creators to dream bigger.

A Responsibly Made, Sustainable Choice

Today more than ever, our surroundings should support our lifestyles and wellbeing, as well as the planet. Ultrafabrics proudly creates sophisticated fabrics that offer a high-performing and sustainable alternative to animal-based products. Their innovative materials conserve resources while considering the well-being of both people and the planet.

Use of Tencel Modal supports Ultrafabrics’ goal to include renewable or recycled resources across its entire portfolio.

By 2025, all Ultrafabrics products sold to the furniture, healthcare, recreational vehicle, marine, aviation, and accessories markets will have reached their goal of including at least 50 percent rapidly renewable and/or recycled resources. Through the introduction of Volar Bio collection and the inclusion of TENCELâ„¢ Modal fibers in 30 percent of their products, they are well on the way to achieving this five years ahead of their original goal.

Ultrafabrics is also committed to waste reduction in their production, sending three percent or less of yardage produced annually to landfills. In 2018, they established their Mottainai program which was inspired by the Japanese concept of finding the intrinsic value in unwanted materials. The program donates unused materials to schools and charitable organizations and has extended the life cycle of over 30,000 yards through diversion.

Playful Palettes with Pantone

This year, Pantone chose Ultrafabrics as an expert collaborator to show how the 2023 Color of the Year, Viva Magenta, can be worked into future-forward spaces. Ultrafabrics has thus curated the Awakening palette, a collection of eight colors that marries Viva Magenta with hues found in nature. Each of the colors represents the elements and celebrates bringing the outdoors in. They will be working with Pantone throughout the year to create more colorways.

Ultrafabrics collaborated with British stylist, Olly Mason, and Brazilian digital visualization studio JFormento to envision five different, future-forward and highly imaginative spaces that demonstrate how the Awakening Palette can impact any interiors space.

In their workspace rendering below, Viva Magenta covers a space divider which also doubles as a booth where people can work, collaborate, or socialize. More of the natural colors that inspired the Awakening Palette are used to ground the interior of the space, while green, organic sofas complement the plants, thus harmonizing the interior and exterior elements of the building.

Viva Magenta takes center stage in this beautiful workspace. Rendering designed by stylist Olly Mason and brought to life by rendering artists JFormento.
