Lisa Layman, Principal, Senior Interior Designer, Eighth Day Design
Lisa Layman brings to the team 33 years of interior architecture experience in commercial office and GSA contracts. She is recognized for her abilities to coordinate the many aspects of a design project to a creative and successful end. Her clients have included Wells Fargo Bank, Fannie Mae, George Washington University, and the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Most recently Lisa has successfully managed projects for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the US Patent and Trademark Office, examining overall space utilization for these clients and developing plans for workplace modernization.
Lisa is a graduate of James Madison University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree concentrating in Interior Design. Her education included studies abroad in Italy and Greece. She currently participates in a continuing education program at James Madison University where she returns each year to provide lectures on profession practice in Interior Design. Lisa is a licensed interior designer in Washington, DC and is board certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. She is also a member of the International Facility Management Association and is a LEED Accredited Professional with specialty in Interior Design and Construction.
