The IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s Cosmo Couture 2017 event was held on September 28th at the Howard Theatre in Washington, DC. The annual fundraiser pairs D.C. design firms up with manufacturers to turn building materials into runway-ready ensembles, reflecting this year’s theme of environments. The outfits were judged in a runway show and awards were given to design teams in various categories.

This year, the Cosmo Couture DC beneficiary was Rebuilding Together of Washington, D.C., a volunteer-based organization which rehabilitates homes for low-income elderly and disabled homeowners, Veterans, families with children, and for nonprofit facilities such as schools, shelters, and 501(c)(3) community service organizations.
