Green Furniture Concept’s Seamless Table and mounted Leaf Lamp are the perfect way to bring nature inside the modern office.
As we look forward to spring, it’s fun to get inspired by products that evoke the concept of nature into our indoor work environments.
Biophilic design is one of the most important considerations for workplace design today. What if you could meet with you coworkers under a tree? That’s exactly the kind of environment that Green Furniture Concept is introducing to the workplace.
Green Furniture Concept’s Seamless Table is a modular table mounted to the trunk of an acoustic tree, perfect for the modern workplace environment. With a standing desk height, the table serves as a unique collaboration space.
The table relies on three building bricks: a straight desk module, a curved one, and a 180 degree end piece. Their dimensions and angles are customizable. The Seamless Table can be organized into endless configurations.
The Seamless Table can be finished with plant-based hard wax oil in any color. The metal stem is powder coated in a RAL-color of your choice, and the felt leaves are available in variety of hues. You can even add chargers wherever you’d like to create a handy workstation.
You can check out the Seamless Table and Leaf Lamp in action in our profile of Green Furniture Concept‘s new office space in Malmö, Sweden.

Can you tell a story or give an example of how this product can be used in a project?
It’s 10:30 AM and the morning team meeting has transitioned into a coffee break. After leaving the Seamless Table to grab coffee in the kitchen, team members return to their little clusters discussing off- and on-topic subjects in the laid-back atmosphere created by the Leaf Lamp Trees. After finishing their coffee, a few of them stay behind while the others return to their desks. Two new meetings are about to start, one at each end of the table.
Who designed this product line?
The entire Green Furniture Concept team worked on this product, led by Jonas Ekholst, Head of Design.
What was the inspiration for this design of this product?
We did extensive research on how the future of work and travels would look and our belief is that the future is versatile. The place to work is no longer limited to the office. Nowadays people work from home, in the car, on the way to the next meeting or from a sunbed in Mexico. Users will have different needs and behave differently depending on their tasks. Offices and public spaces will need to be redesigned to follow that need. With the Seamless Table (that was introduced at the same time as Nova C Perch and Nova C Recliner, two new postures to the Nova C Series) users will find a place to grab a coffee with a colleague, work for a while waiting for the next departure, charge their electronic devices or just contemplate under the soothing acoustic leaves in the Leaf Lamp Tree. And the whole system is made modular to fit the ever-changing needs of the office and public space.
What innovations in use of materials or fabrication are utilized in the manufacture of this product?
We use untreated wooden branches from 100 percent certified sources, click-together branch assembly, which makes it possible to flat-pack. Also, individual parts can be replaced, wool felt leaves are Oeko-tex certified and we use halogen-free cables on the electrical components.
Where do you think the installation of this product will be most effective?
In an entrance of an office building or in public spaces such as airports, universities or shopping malls.
A year from now what would be the most exciting thing you could think of that would find out about how the product has been accepted, specified and installed in projects?
We can see this product enabled as a meeting point in the office entrance for everyone to hangout on, layout along a curving isle in an airport or use as a bar table in a cafeteria. We would love to see how architects can come up with new innovative ways of using the modular system of Seamless Table to create a soothing place in a busy space.
Is the product available now?
Yes, it was introduced in the fall of 2019 and is available to specify now. In fact see all the options here.
What do you think our readers will love about the product?
There are no limits to the shapes you can create with the table modules. It introduces a whole new type of meeting spot in the workplace environment.
Are there any other unique design features that would interest our readers?
The Leaf Lamp, to which the Seamless Table is mounted, is also a product on its own, available as either a tree or a pendant. It’s possible to furnish an office with a number of these to further extend the biophilic atmosphere introduced by the Seamless Table. The array of colors for the lamp can be viewed here and our website has a configurator tool that shows how you can configure this product to meet your project’s design aesthetic.
