Chair of the Month Review: Civara Task Seating by KI

For our final Chair of the Month review of 2025 we tested out the Civara chair by KI in NYC. Here’s a rundown of our experience.

Work Design Magazine’s Katie Sargent along with designers at OTJ NYC spent the last month of the year working from Civara by KI. Here’s their top takeaways from the experience.

Meet Civara by KI

The Civara task chair was the perfect final task chair to review in 2025! It’s a fully ergonomic task chair that fits in at a home office or a traditional workplace setting which kept us working comfortably and efficiently to the end of the year. Civara has all of the bells and whistles that you would look for in a task chair – adjustable seat depth and height, 4D arms, lumbar support, and synchrotilt recline.

The Rundown

• Key Features: Aesthetic versatility to fit a range of preferences. 
• Chair Design: Designed by Claudio Bellini Studio, Civara keeps all the ergonomic bells and whistles while still maintaining a clean shape and aesthetic. 
• Adjustable Options: Adjustable seat depth and height. Also a headrest option (which we liked!) 
• Fabric Options: Mesh or upholstered, three frame finishes, different bases and casters. Highly customizable!

What We Loved Most

A chair that blends comfort with functionality and enhances well-being through ergonomic design?! Say less! After sitting in the Civara by KI chair for a month, both in a home office and office building setting, we can confirm that it delivers all-day comfort while having a clean and modern aesthetic.

The grey seat fabric upholstery and polished chrome base look great together.

Not only does the chair offer many adjustments and ergonomic features, it is also a very comfortable and stable chair, especially when in full recline – you still feel very secure. The fabric options and wide range of looks for the chair are certainly a highlight and allow the chair to fit into a wide range of office settings easily.
