DeskMakers launches their Ascend line of height adjustable desks.
With the workplace’s changing landscape, employees are once again looking for privacy. Merging this renewed preference for more privacy with the adjustability found in open workspaces is at the forefront of DesksMakers’ new series. The innovative California-based furniture manufacturer has crafted their new line to provide a range of heights at a moment’s notice. The Ascend height adjustable casegoods from DeskMakers offer the ability to transition from sitting to standing within seconds – and keep you moving throughout the day. Thoughtful details and a modern design that support mobility, the Ascend height adjustable casegoods quickly and quietly move with you.
How does Ascend work within today’s workplace requirements?
Our Ascend desks provide the user the functionality of height adjustability but with the refined look of a casegood. Ascend shrouds and shells conceal a large portion of the height adjustable column and leg and offers a variety of different options for varying aesthetics.
How does the product line support agile and activity – based workplaces that are becoming so prevalent in new and refurbished facilities?
Height adjustable workstations allow the user to work in a position that feels most comfortable for them, which in turn helps them be more creative and focused. Employees who alternate between sitting and standing positions typically have more energy, reduced fatigue, and are overall more productive throughout the day.

We make it easy to specify our product! Are there any other unique features that would interest our readers?
DeskMakers is aware of the growing concerns related to the impact of our products on the environment and human health. Therefore, we are working diligently to manufacture office furniture that is as environmentally friendly as possible. In our factory in Commerce, CA, we strive to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials wherever possible.
The main component of our furniture is particle board, which is composed of 100 percent pre-consumer recycled wood waste. This means that by weight, approximately 80 percent of the content of our casegoods product is recycled material. We have a state-of-the-art dust collection system that not only helps to minimize the amount of dust released into the air, but also collects sawdust which is recycled into other products. The glues, finishes, and solvents used in our factory all comply with the stringent regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), and the Los Angeles Air Quality Management District (AQMD)
Where can our readers see the product?
If you’re in the Bay Area, we recently opened a showroom in Santa Clara, California. For our local friends, our reps (Rodenbeck Associates) have a showroom in Downtown Los Angeles, with another set to open soon in Orange County. We plan to eventually return to NeoCon in some capacity, but for now our showrooms, regional events, or rep contact via our website are the best way for people to experience the product for themselves. You can access our rep finder here.
