Bob and Hanns kick off their discussion acknowledging that while the flexible workspace industry is facing challenging times, it is still an appealing choice for many. Distancing is their main issue, but on the other hand, flexible workspace can still be a good fit because of the flexibility that it offers in this uncertain economic climate. Hines is hearing from their end users that there is still a need for flexible workspace despite the current pandemic.
As many smaller coworking facilities might not be able to survive the current economic distress, Hanns predicts that this will lead to some industry consolidation.
